SERS To Communicate the Importance of Tried and Trusted at UK’s Biggest Housing Exhibition

13th June 2014
SERS will be celebrating almost 25 years in business when we take part in the UK’s largest social housing event – the Chartered Institute of Housing’s Housing 2014 conference and exhibition.

Running from June 24 – 26, this is the largest housing conference in the UK, attracting more than 7,500 visitors and 100 expert speakers to discuss the key issues facing the housing sector.

We will be taking a stand at the conference to get over its message of the need to use tried and trusted companies when insulating homes to reduce energy bills.

The conference will cover a wide range of housing issues including sustainability, innovation, investment, industry developments and housing supply.

SERS director Mike Roberts said it was important to get the energy efficiency message to as wide an audience as possible.
SERS supports all efforts to tackle home insulation, but there are a lot of opportunist companies springing up who cannot be relied upon to do a proper job on external wall insulation. It is a complex and technical job, and not one to be attempted by contractors who have not had the right training. At SERS we have 25 years experience in this field and have won many industry awards for our work.

The point that we are also keen to underline at this major exhibition and conference event is that whatever decisions may be made at Government level there are always opportunities to take advantage of technologies and funding streams which will make homes warmer and drastically cut fuel bills. A relatively modest investment in energy improvement can result in huge savings in energy costs.
