SERS Takes Part in UK’s Biggest Fuel Poverty Event 28th August 2014 SERS is taking part in the UK’s biggest event aimed at tackling fuel poverty.SERS will be participating in Turning the Tide, the annual conference of National Energy Action (NEA) to be held in Scarborough from September 15 to 17.We will be exhibiting at the conference at Scarborough Spa, and giving advice on actions householders and landlords can take to reduce fuel bills by making homes warmer.The National Energy Action event attracts more than 300 key decision-makers to discuss fuel poverty issues. Delegates include representatives of central and local government, social landlords, health providers, the energy industry and Green Deal installers. SERS is one of the few companies in the UK qualified to provide a complete Green Deal service from assessment to installation, whilst also being able to provide finance.The conference will cover a wide range of energy issues including policies to combat fuel poverty, fair energy pricing, and Government strategy in advance of the fuel poverty policy discussion in the autumn.SERS director Mike Roberts said it was important to get the energy efficiency message to as wide an audience as possible. “ Fuel poverty is one of the most prominent public policy issues affecting the UK, and that is why we are a member of NEA. Policy makers are preparing to respond to the challenge with a new fuel poverty strategy in England to take effect from 2015, and changes to policies and programmes affecting all parts of the UK..
