Figures Published by DECC Shows Slow Insulation Rates

The latest set of monthly GD/ECO Statistics were published yesterday by DECC . The NIA have analysed them and stated the following concerning figures.

The statistics are up to the end of March 2015 for Green Deal and up to the end of February 2015 for ECO.

Cavity Wall Insulation – 16,491 (annual run rate of 198k) – at current run rate it would take 30 years to complete the remaining cavities.

Solid Wall Insulation – 1,876 (annual run rate of 22,500) – total measures to date 79,888 meaning just 20k more needed in the next 25 months to hit the 100k SWI minima under ECO.

Loft Insulation – 14,037 (annual run rate of 168,000) – at current run rate it would take over 40 years to complete the remaining lofts.
